Polymethyl Methacrylate

This class action alleges that the Defendants unlawfully conspired to fix, increase, and/or maintain prices in the market for Polymethyl Methacrylate ("PMMA"), also known as acrylic glass and sold under the following trade names: Lucite, Perspex, Plexiglass, Acrylite and Acrylplast.

The Plaintiff alleges that from at least January 1, 1995 to December 31, 2003, the Defendants and senior executive of the corporate defendants participated in illegal and secretive meetings and made arrangements relating to price targets, specific price increases, and market share divisions for PMMA.

PMMA is used in the manufacture of such different objects as automobile head and tail lights, aircraft windows, light fixtures, baths, false teeth and eyes, hard contact lenses, greenhouse glazing, signs, and hospital incubators.
