Maytag Front-Load Washing Machine Class Action

A class action was commenced in which it was alleged that Maytag Corporation and Maytag Limited were negligent in the design, manufacture, marketing, sale and/or servicing of Maytag Neptune Front-Load Washing Machines, specifically that there are problems with: i) odour, mould or mildew; ii) the door latch/wax motor; iii) the motor control; and iv) related circuit board failures. Damages were sought on behalf of all persons in Canada who purchased or acquired a Maytag Neptune Front-Load Washing Machine between April 1, 1997 and May 15, 2005.

The filing deadline for this action was August 6, 2006.
