Phospho-soda
UPDATE (May 25, 2011): The Fleet Phospho-soda settlement has now been approved and the claims period is underway. The claims deadline is September 22, 2011. It is important that you start preparing your claim well in advance of that deadline as there are records that need to accompany your claim which may still need to be acquired. For further information, please refer to the long form notice, claim form, press release, and frequently asked questions posted below, and/or do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.
UPDATE (April 27, 2011): We are pleased to announce that the settlement has been approved by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Further notice with respect to making a claim (including a copy of the claim form) will be posted in the near future.
UPDATE (March 26, 2011): We are pleased to announce that a settlement has been reached in this action:
The next step is to have the settlement approved by the court. A settlement approval hearing has been scheduled to be heard in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in London, Ontario on April 13, 2011. A hearing seeking a declaration that the claims of Quebec residents are settled in accordance with the judgment of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, to be homologated the same day by the Quebec Superior Court has been scheduled for April 29, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. in Quebec City.
Once the settlement has been approved, a further notice will be published which will explain the steps for making a claim.
On December 11, 2008, Fleet announced that they were recalling all of their over-the-counter Phospho-soda products from the market.
