There are 2 separate Class Actions underway involving the diet drugs Fenfluramine Dexfenfluramine. Fenfluramine was sold under the trade names of Ponderal and Pondimin. Dexfenfluramine was sold under the trade name of Redux. We are class counsel in the Pondimin Class Action which has been settled. These drugs were removed from the Canadian and US markets on September 15, 1997. The "Phen" of the Fen-Phen combination, sold as Ionamin or Fastin, is not included in any of the Class Action suits.

The deadline to register was July 15, 2002.
A settlement has been reached with Wyeth Ayerst Canada and American Home Products Corporation, the manufacturers of the diet drug known as PONDIMIN. This settlement pertains to all Canadian residents who ingested Pondimin between January 1, 1992 to September 15, 1997 and is valued at approximately 11.3 million.
Unless you opted out of the settlement prior to August 22, 2001, you are deemed to be a class member.
